The Yumgambeh Language Bird Game was designed and created by myself and a team of seven other developers for the Yugambeh Museum Language & Heritage Research Centre as a museum installation. The game was designed for younger children and involved a series of minigames revolving around the representation of native birds in the Yugambeh Aboriginal culture.
My role in this project was team lead and game designer. As team lead, I had to manage the production schedule of the games development, liaise with the client and ensure the team was working with up to date information concerning the client's needs and the game's design. As a game designer, I worked with two other team members to design and test the various minigames, and ensured the game met the specific standards that creating a game for Aboriginal cultural usage required.
